Horry, Dillion, Marion and Marlboro County qualifying residents are eligible for Disaster Unemployment Assistance (DUA) funds. The DUA program makes funds available to assist people, including small business owners and self-employed, who became unemployed and lost personal income as a direct result of Hurricane Florence. FEMA is now approving individual assistance applications in our area. If you have experienced property damage to your home, contact FEMA to see if you are eligible for assistance. Visit https://www.disasterassistance.gov/ and enter your zip code to apply for funding or call 1 (800) 621-3362, or download the FEMA mobile app.
This site is specific to our area and has volunteer and donation opportunities as well as financial assistance forms. It is a coalition of local non-profits, including the Salvation Army, United Way of Horry County, Impact Ministries and many others.
