Labor, Commerce and Industry Committee
H.4246 -- Criminal Background Checks: A bill to change the time effective of Act 60 of 2017 relating to criminal background checks by the Real Estate Commission to July 1, 2020.
S.909 -- Professional Employer Organizations Tax Credits: A bill to relating to provisions of professional employer organizations which may be eligible for certain tax credits and economic incentives, as to delete the requirement that functions may be provided by regulation and make other changes.
H.4327 --Farm Structures: A bill to exempt certain farm structures that may accommodate up to three hundred guests without installing a sprinkler system, as classified in the 2015 International Building Code.
H.3200-- Lactation Support Act: A bill to provide that employers shall provide reasonable unpaid break time and reasonable privacy accommodations for employees to express breast milk in close proximity to the work area.
S.754 -- John de la Howe: A bill to establish structure for John de la Howe as a Governor’s School for Agriculture to provide students with a career aptitude in agriculture, agribusiness, natural resources and biotechnology. The bill establishes the makeup of the board of trustees, terms of the members of the board, and removal of members by governor, and establish provisions for students attending John de la Howe.
H.3998 -- Workforce and Senior Affordable Housing Act: A bill to allow a taxpayer eligible for a federal low-income house tax credit to claim a low-income state tax credit. If a portion of any federal housing tax credit taken on a project is required to be recaptured under federal, a taxpayer may recapture a portion of a state tax credit with respect to the project. The credit allowed may not exceed the taxpayer’s income tax liability.

Confirmation Hearing -- Secretary of Veterans Affairs: The Senate Family & Veterans’ Services Committee will hold a confirmation hearing of gubernatorial nominee for Secretary of Veterans Affairs, Mr. Bobby J. Cox.
S.1026 -- International Registration Plan: A bill relating to the registration and licensure of vehicles that if a commercial motor vehicle is registered through the International Registration Plan and operated by the USDOT then the personal to whom the USDOT number is assigned may register the commercial motor vehicle by submitting the application and fees the SCDMV.
Agriculture and Natural Resources
S.690 -- Geological Survey Unit of DNR: A bill relating to the duties of the South Carolina Geological Survey Unit of the Department of Natural Resources to authorize topographic mapping using light detection and ranging and ensuring compliance with federal emergency management standards.
S.870 -- Offshore Oil and Gas Exploration: A bill to prohibit the Department of Health and Environmental Control from approving a plan, license or issuing a permit for infrastructure used to facilitate the transportation of oil or natural gas from the Atlantic Ocean into the state.
